Flat Stanley Flies into Bricknell!
Do you know the children's book character Flat Stanley? He is a boy who is flattened when a notice board falls on him! He can then have many adventures because he fits into an envelope!
Flat Stanley has been sent to Bricknell from a group of second-graders in Oklahoma, USA.
Flat Stanley has already had visits to Indianapolis, Delaware, Florida, Chicago and on a C17-Globemaster 3 airplane to Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Lichtenstein. He also assisted taking medical supplies to Iraq and returning US soldiers home.
Flat Stanley spent some time with Mrs Hunt's family, enjoying the snow in England. Class 2JD enjoyed an afternoon making their own Flat Stanleys - you can see them in the Year 2 corridor!
Now Flat Stanley is flying off to Australia to be hosted by Mrs Gibson - our colleague who emigrated to Melbourne last summer. Who knows where he'll end up before returning home to Oklahoma - we'll keep you posted.
