20p Challenge for Haiti
A huge thankyou to all the parents and pupils who donated to our 20p challenge to raise money for the survivors of the Haiti earthquake. As you know the aim of the challenge was to lay 20 pence pieces along our school corridor to see how long a line we could make and how much money we could raise.
The response was overwhelming. The line of 20 pence pieces stretched from the far end of the Year 4 corridor all the way to the last Year 1 classroom, a total of 170 metres! This means that we have raised a staggering £1610 for the appeal. The generosity and compassion shown through this appeal has been unbelievable and all the money raised will be donated to Unicef.
